Wow Your Thanksgiving Guests with an Easy DIY Centerpiece
- A small to medium-sized pumpkin
- Floral foam (trimmed and soaked in water)
- Plastic wrap
- Carving knife
- Scissors or floral snips
- Fresh autumn-hued florals such as spider mums, sunflowers, yellow roses, daisies, or cushion poms
Cut a round hole at the top of the pumpkin, trimming the insides away and discarding all seeds.
Place your pre-soaked and trimmed foam into the pumpkin; it should rise about one inch above the hole. A small square of plastic wrap beneath it will help retain moisture.
Trim and arrange your flowers, sticking the largest blooms first. Taller stems should be placed toward the middle. Fill in with small sprays of more delicate flowers, greenery, or fall accents such as dried wheat.
