Cue the Confetti!

With the season of celebration officially upon us, Roaring Fork Lifestyle is debuting the magazine’s first Readers’ Choice issue to spotlight the valley’s best and brightest in local business. In a big city this kind of round-up might not offer much of a personal connection to readers, but here in our tight-knit community this list of local favorites is filled…

Our Readers
Have Spoken

Roaring Fork Lifestyle recently held its first-ever Readers’ Choice “Best Of the Valley” contest. You, our readers, have responded in a big way. We had 45 categories where you could offer business nominations on RoaringForkLifestyle.com, followed by a round of voting to determine winners in the various fields. This was a two-stage process that occurred during the months of August and September…

Introducing the BEST of the Valley

DO NOT USE THIS TEXT  What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also…

Taste of Basalt

The mid-valley's tastiest social event of the year was held at the Roaring Fork Club on November 4, when the Basalt Education Foundation hosted its annual fundraiser to benefit the Basalt public schools. Guests sampled food and drinks from a variety of top local restaurants. Photography by Jeremy Swanson.

UpRoot Gleaning Days

In November, local nonprofit UpRoot held two volunteer gleaning days at Eagle Springs Organic in Silt. Some 2,454 pounds of
vegetables were harvested by 27 volunteers, and the food was taken to LIFT-UP for distribution to area food pantries and the
Garfield County Senior Nutrition Program. Photography by Ciara Low.

Rotary Masquerade Ball

On Halloween weekend, the Glenwood Springs Noon Rotary Club hosted its third annual Masquerade Ball at the Hotel Colorado, with
proceeds benefitting the club's scholarships, grants, and community projects. Masked revelers enjoyed silent and live auctions, food, dancing, and music from Symphony in the Valley. Photography by Carl Wright.

Doing All the Good You Can

Generosity hits its peak during the holiday season, and that’s a good thing. At this time of year, we nonprofit directors often share our collective wisdom to help educate donors about how charities work and, more importantly, why supporters can feel confident that their donations—financial, sweat equity volunteerism, and in-kind goods—are being used to help support the mission and programs of…
